Encourage
Philippians
2: 1-2 1. If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ,
if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any
tenderness and compassion,
2. then make my
joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit
and purpose.
"Let's take the encouragement
Jesus himself gives us through our relationship with Him and through his
Holy Word and pass it on to others so others too may experience the peace
joy and love that encouragement can bring.
Encouragement is at the root
of our well being, self worth and self- esteem. One simple word of encouragement
or praise can trigger within us an overwhelming good feeling of self worth.
This in turn spurs us on to be extended beyond ourselves in many ways such
as improving our skills, job performance and work and family relationships.
It also helps us to ease the burden of emotional and mental difficulties.
The spin offs of one word of encouragement are positive and send positive
messages to parts of our heart soul and mind to build up our self worth
and self esteem.
Many people have
spent most of their lives without a word of encouragement or praise. They
have been objects of daily put downs and ridicule resulting in an insecurity,
low self esteem and low self worth.
The good
news is in Jesus Christ. My friend Jesus, a friend beyond all earthly friends.
He gives us a relationship where never is heard a discouraging word. If
you have never heard an encouraging word then come to Jesus. Simply ask
Him, "Jesus, Iam here, please forgive me for my sins and please help me
to know you better and begin to receive your love". He, the King of Kings,
Lord of Lords, and Prince of Peace will not let you down.
Jesus will lead
you by the hand through the many truths of His Word, the holy bible, where
many examples of encouragement are found. The following places in His Holy
Word are but a few sources of encouragment: Isaiah
1:17, Thessalonians
5:11, Psalms
10:17, Romans
12:8, Hebrews
3:13, 2
Timothy 4:2, Deuteronomy
3:28, Hebrews
10:25, 1Thessalonians
5:14, Titus
1:9, Acts
15:3.
