Hebrews 4:12
  "God the author of The Holy Bible describes the words He has written as being living and active and sharper than any double edge sword" 

    In the beginning Genesis 1:3-5. God said. Merely by speaking, God by his word brought all things into being. 

    In Psalm 119:105. God's Holy word is referred to as a lamp to our feet and a light for our path. Psalm 33:6-9.Psalm 148:5.. 

    The word of God becomes our balanced diet for our spiritual well being just as nourishing foodstuff becomes a balanced diet for our physical well being.Matthew4:3-5

    Keeping God's word brings an eternal promise. John 8:51

We can already see that the word of God has power, direction, wholesomeness and promises. This is but a small taste of the endless source of treasures found within God's word. God wants to open those treasures for you and bless you. Deuteronomy 28:12

Simply reading all of God's word will bring us a lot of head knowledge and many stories about God and His people. To truly receive from God's word power, direction, wholesomeness and promises we need to go beyond just the words on the pages and reach out and talk to the author Himself and ask Him to bring meaning and life to these words. Yes, the Bible is one book which allows us to talk to the author. Simply ask God to come into your heart and to bring meaning to the words you are reading. 
Beyond the many treasures found within the Living Word of God there is the greatest treasure of all and that is The Living Water which is found in the Person of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, God's only son left His heavenly position and came down to earth as a man to satisfy the wrath of God against all of mankind's sin since Adam and Eve. Listen to Jesus Himself as He talks about The Living Water He has to offer in the following scripture:
John 4:10  John 4:11  John 7:38  Revelation7:17
The written word is a powerful tool to inform, guide, instruct, entertain but only the Living Word of God can transform us into new creations set apart from this world and reserved for life forever with Jesus Christ. 
God's word is living and active when we let Him speak to us through His word. Open your heart today and listen to His voice through the Holy Bible and experience it's power, love and healing today and your life will never be the same again. 
Through His son Jesus Christ we will be empowered to take the Living Word of God and bring it's good news to all the world. Praise God forevermore.
