The Lord Reigns

" This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."

Service

John13:13-14
  13. You call me Teacher and Lord, and rightly so, for that is what I am.
  14. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet.

"Jesus sets an example for us to extend the same humble service."

We serve many people. We serve our boss, our country, our community, our neighbourhood and our families by bringing to these areas a contribution of not just our talents but also ourselves as a person becoming part of a social fabric with relationships, interactions and a commitment to act in a way for the common good. Yet to call these a role of a servant would invite the response that we are in no way a servant to anyone.
Jesus calls us to a life time of obedience as a servant within the kingdom of God. This life time of service is in gratitude to what Jesus has done for us by giving up His life for us so we could be rescued from drowning in the sea of this present evil age and it's destiny of hell forever. As a servant of the most high we are accountable first to Christ and the work He has assigned to us. Christ calls us to a lifetime of servant hood dedicating each breathing moment in His service to the King of Kings. He calls us to give up our worldly destinies and make our one and only destiny the kingdom of God.
Christ came as a servant of His Father in heaven to be subjected to the plan of redemption and to redeem us and afterwards rise above his servant hood to sit at the right hand of the father in heaven to reign forever more.
Servant hood in the kingdom of the most high means giving up our ego and our self will but Christ promises us if we take the path of a servant He will richly and abundantly bless us and give us the right to be adopted into the family of God as sons and daughters of God and as brothers and sisters of Christ Jesus. Praise the Lord for ever more.
His saints from all over this world stand in His service to do His bidding as servants of the most high and to reach out to a dark world to bring into it the light of all lights, Jesus Christ. Jesus can use you only if you are willing to take the position of a servant to bring the good news to the land. God will bless you and reward you in this life and even more importantly in the life to come.
