The Lord Reigns

" This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."

Teacher

John13:13
"You call me 'Teacher' and 'Lord' and rightly so for that is what I am"

Jesus was called "The Teacher" John11:28. On many occasions Jesus taught the people and spent extra time with His disciples for more intensive teaching. The disciples didn't realize it at the time but they were being directed to a teaching job that would involve bringing the message of salvation to the world.

Jesus was not only Teacher but also Lord. He claimed both titles as in  John 11:28. On a mountain side He taught them  Matthew 5:1-3.  and the people exclaimed that He taught as one who had authority, not like the teachers of the law. Mathew 7:28-29. Even the guards who had been sent to seize him said "No one ever spoke the way this man does". John 7:45-47. When Jesus comes to town or to your heart He comes not only as a 'teacher' but also as 'Lord' and brings not only words of knowledge but also words with a power and authority that go beyond human wisdom and comprehension. You too can be amazed like the people of Jesus day when He, Teacher and Lord, speaks to you.
What a privilege and what an experience it must have been to sit on a mountain side and be taught by Jesus, a man, yet God on earth.
The teaching of the Master didn't stop when He died, rose up and ascended into heaven. The master promised to leave a comforter, the Holy Spirit, who would teach them and us even greater things than these. John 14:12
We can assuredly say that "The Teacher is here" when we are connected to Jesus Christ and the Father through the Holy Spirit in a personal relationship. The Holy spirit within us allows us to see the truths of the Holy word of God beyond the words on the page, to truths that will light or path to eternal life. Within our relationship with "The Teacher" we continue to be taught as if He were here with us.
Jesus took ordinary people and taught them how to bring the gospel to others and to become a foundation for the church of Jesus Christ. Many important lessons were learned to prepare the disciples for the great commission of bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ to all the earth.
Today Jesus still takes ordinary people to be taught by the Master Himself to learn the truths of the Gospel and the many promises of life forever with Him. With this teaching that comes with authority and power we too can say as the people did in Jesus day, "No one ever spoke the way this man does".
